I'm learning Ukrainian at Language Lab in Kyiv and just love the language more and more every day, due in large measure to the passion with which it is taught by teachers who are fervently proud to be Ukrainian and to be sharing this rich language. Language Lab has been great, not only as a place to build language skills but to also learn culture. They work hard to create a community of learners and to help students immerse not just in language skills but also the nuances of the culture of Ukraine. The events such as learning about Ukrainian Christmas or the welcoming winter with mulled wine, walks in the park or visits to the museum are all added bonuses to being part of the school. The instructors are well trained and knowledgeable. A great place to learn.

What level of proficiency is required to join your language school?
Our school welcomes students of all proficiency levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. You can start at any level that suits your current language skills.
What teaching methods do you use at your language school?
Mainly we employ a communicative approach, focusing on practical language skills, but our experienced teachers use a variety of methods and language activities to help you become proficient in English. Also, the focus and methods differ from course to course (you can read their detailed descriptions above).
What is the class size like, and how much individual attention can I expect?
Our most popular teaching format is one-to-one lessons which means all lessons are tailored to your goals and preferences. Pair and group format are also available. Our classes are small to ensure personalized attention (mini-groups of 4-8 people), allowing our teachers to address your specific needs effectively.
What are the qualifications of your instructors?
All our instructors are qualified linguists with various certifications and extensive teaching experience, some are Ukrainians and some are native speakers. They are dedicated to helping you speak and understand the language effectively.
Do you provide materials and resources for learning?
Yes, we offer a variety of learning materials, including textbooks, workbooks, video and audio resources, extra worksheets and online tools. These resources are designed to support your language learning journey.

Do you offer a free trial lesson?
For learners of English we offer a free test (written and oral parts) and a consultation.
Can I take online lessons if I can't attend in person?
Yes, we offer online classes to accommodate students who cannot attend in person. You can choose between in-person or online lessons based on your preferences and circumstances, or do the combination of both.
What is the duration of your courses?
The duration and frequency of our courses may vary. We offer intensive courses that run for a few weeks and regular courses that can span several months. Please contact us for specific details.
How often do your courses run? And what is the schedule like?
One-to-one lessons for all the courses are available at any time. Contact us to require about pair or group availability. You have the flexibility to select the timetable and frequency of lessons at your convenience.
If I preferred to change the language teacher, would it be possible?
Certainly, it is possible to change your language teacher if you prefer. We understand that the compatibility and teaching style of your instructor are important factors in your language learning journey. If you feel that a different teacher would better meet your needs or preferences, just let our management or office managers know and we will arrange it.
Do I receive a certificate at the end of a course?
Yes, our school’s certificate is issued upon successful course completion.
What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel my class?
We understand your busy schedule and try to be very flexible for your convenience. For one-to-one lessons you can reschedule or cancel lessons if necessary, we just ask you to do it minimum 12 office hours before the lesson so that the teacher could plan their time. For pair and group classes we have a fixed schedule, but in case the whole group can't make it one of the weeks, we can reschedule it to a different day or time if the teacher is available then.
Do you organize extra-curricular activities for the students of your school?
Yes! We see ourselves as a community, not just a typical language school. That is why we do our best for our students to feel at home by organizing special events (some in-person, some online) such as meet-ups, language exchanges, speaking clubs, culture nights, field trips, workshops, etc., so you can more rapidly build your fluency and confidence, as well as socialize and have fun
